Puy l'Evêque is a delightful medieval village sited on the right bank of the meandering river Lot, with considerable historic interest.
It's probably the prettiest village in the entire valley, with many grand houses built in honey-coloured stone and overlooked by both a XIVth century church and the castle of the bishops of Cahors.
